Judge how vivid and even the saturated colors are. Arrow keys switch between colors. a total of 8 steps
- Click the right half of the screen to move to the next view; when the current project’s views are done it advances to the next project, and when every project is finished it exits fullscreen automatically.
- Click the left half of the screen to go back to the previous view; at the very first view it stops.
- After entering fullscreen, the top label and bottom buttons auto-hide after 3 seconds so you can view the screen unobstructed.
- Hover in the bottom-centre of the screen for 1 second to bring the label and buttons back; move away and they hide again after 1 second.
- The breathing test ends automatically after about 10 seconds.
Color saturation & gamut testing
The saturation test shows highly saturated solid colors to gauge color reproduction and gamut coverage. A wider gamut means more colors available, so images look richer and more vivid.
Common gamut standards:
- sRGB: the baseline gamut, ~35% of visible spectrum; most web content and photos are built around it.
- DCI-P3: the cinema standard, ~25% larger than sRGB; common on Apple devices and premium monitors.
- Adobe RGB: the print standard, far wider in cyan-green; essential for pro photography and print design.
- Rec.2020: an ultra-wide gamut covering ~75% of visible spectrum; only a few OLEDs come close today.
How to judge color:
- Whether each solid is vivid and clean with no obvious tint.
- Whether the red, green and blue primaries are rich rather than washed out or gray.
- Whether similar colors are clearly distinguishable.

What is color saturation?
Saturation is how pure and vivid a color is. High saturation means more vibrant colors. But gamut coverage alone doesn’t imply accuracy — you also need good color accuracy (Delta E).

Depends on the use case: design and cinema need wide gamut (DCI-P3/Adobe RGB), but everyday users may find oversaturation to be too vivid. Match the gamut to your main work instead of chasing the biggest number.
